Registration for the June 13-15 Patriot Days Encampment is due by our Sunday, June 1, 2025 meeting. At the beginning of this meeting we will be going over finalized details for the encampment.

Knoebels Worship Service & Family Day

Join us for a day full of faith, fun, and fellowship at the beautiful Knoebels Amusement Resort this August 10th! It's the perfect opportunity for the First UCC family to come together and enjoy a day that's as enriching as it is entertaining. We hope you will invite friends and family to share in the day. Here’s our plan for a fantastic day:
Event Schedule:
10:00 AM: Begin to arrive at the amusement park
10:30 AM: Worship Service at Pavilion Tent #4 (near the “Sklooosh” ride)
Start your day with us in a serene setting for an uplifting worship service.
11:15 AM: Luncheon
Join us right after the service for a luncheon at the Pavilion. It’s a great opportunity to relax, enjoy some delicious food, and chat with fellow church members.
12:00 Noon: Rides and Amusement
After lunch, the amusement park is yours to explore! Rides and concession stands open at 12:00noon, so you can enjoy everything Knoebels has to offer from thrilling roller coasters to family-friendly attractions.
The Water Park is open from 11:00AM to 6:00PM.
The Amusement Park closes at 8:00 PM.

Sunday Morning Overview
Sunrise Worship Service from 6:15-7:30AM
The sunrise service is in-person only. We will begin at 6:15AM, which is a couple of minutes before the actual sunrise of 6:17AM.
This service begins outdoors; however, the majority of this service taking place inside the sanctuary.
This service includes the returning of the light to the sanctuary that we extinguished during the Maundy Thursday Tenebrae worship service, and includes Holy Communion.
Sunday School from 9:00-10:00AM
Sunday School / Bible Study classes for youth and adults is from 9:00-10:00AM on a Sunday morning.

Sunday Breakfast from 9:00-10:00AM
We will be serving a free light breakfast from 9:00-10:00AM.
Regular Easter Worship Service from 10:15-11:30AM.
As we normally have during Sunday worship, this service will include a Children’s Sermon and Choir Anthem.
This service will be both in-person and live streamed on our YouTube channel.
The service will include Holy Communion in the pews. You do NOT need to be a member of First UCC or of the UCC to participate in Holy Communion, visitors are welcome. If you are virtually viewing live, we invite you to have your own bread and wine/grape juice for the pastor to bless during the live stream.

Overview
Our Easter Sunrise Worship Service will begin outdoors at 6:15AM with vigil candles and the lighting of the new Paschal Candle, followed by brining the new flame into the sanctuary. The majority of the worship service will take place within the sanctuary and will include Holy Communion. As with all our communion services, you do NOT need to be a member of First UCC or of the UCC to participate, visitors are welcome.
Our sunrise service will be in-person only. The regular 10:15AM worship service will have the option of live stream and telephone.

Church Yard Sale
Hamburg's Townwide Yard Sale will be on Saturday, February 5th and we will be taking part again this year! We plan to have a white elephant table and back by popular demand, we will have baked goods and hot dogs! Many of our members will also be there and will have their own tables. Come visit us in the church parking lot!
