Sunday Morning Bible Study for Adults
Our Sunday morning Bible study for adults takes place from 9:00-10:00AM.
During the Easter season, our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening classes will be based on the book Half Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn’t Say by Adam Hamilton. Other half truths we will be exploring include: “Everything Happens for a Reason;” “God Won’t Give You More Than You Can Handle;” and “Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin.”
This five week series will begin the week of April 27. You need not attend all five sessions; we will be happy to welcome for as many or as few sessions you can attend. You do not need not purchase the book to participate; if you would like to purchase the book directly, you can find it at ChristianBook.com and other online retailers as: regular print, large print, ebook, and new or used. For more information about the series, please contact the pastor or the church office.
During the season of Lent, our study will be based on the book Unbinding Your Heart. You can order the book through the church office, or you can participate without purchasing a book. We do not want cost to prohibit anyone from participating; if you are not able to afford the book, we do have scholarship funds available for this book.
Sunday school for adults generally is offered during the school year, from the Sunday after Labor Day to the Sunday before the Memorial Day weekend.

New Member Classes
We generally offer new member classes twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring during the 9:00AM Sunday school time.
These classes are not just for those looking to join the church, but also for those who are curious about the UCC, those who are interested in joining as member, and current members who are interested in going over some of the basics of faith. New members are encouraged to participate in this class either before joining or shortly after joining; however, this class is NOT required to become a member of First UCC.
During these classes you will learn about the Bible, prayer, the UCC, our church and more.
For information about the next new member class, please contact the church office.

Unbinding Your Heart
During the season of Lent, our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening study for adults and youth will be based on the book Unbinding Your Heart by Martha Grace Reese.
There is no need to order the book for youth classes. For the adult classes, you can order the book through the church office, or you can participate without purchasing a book. We do not want cost to prohibit anyone from participating; if you are not able to afford the book, we do have scholarship funds available for this book.
We will also be using this book for 40 Days of Prayer during the 40 days of Lent, and this series will be our worship and sermon focus for the six Sundays in Lent.
