Room Rentals at First Reformed United Church of Christ
There are two rooms in the church that are available to rent, the Auditorium and Land Hall.
Land Hall is the church’s medium sized social hall. It seats approximately 50 people.
The Auditorium is the church’s largest social hall. It seats approximately 80 people.
Facilities Usage Rules and Guidelines
All meetings and events in the church must be coordinated through the church secretary and then go to Consistory for approval. If approved by Consistory, the secretary will notify the sexton if access is needed.
The church is not liable for any issues, injuries or accidents involving any persons attending such event on the church premise.
Rooms should be returned to the original condition of cleanliness, tables and chairs in original places. Cleaning supplies are available in the closet outside of Land Hall.
Under normal conditions Land Hall will be used as it seats at least 50 people.
LAND HALL USAGE BY MEMBERS
Good standing: Continue financially, communion twice a year and attend on a regular basis.
A $50.00 fee will be charged to members if Land Hall is not returned to its original condition.
If Consistory deems this is not a personal event a fee may be charged to members.
Members are encouraged to give a monetary gift to offset the cost of utilities, sexton fees.
LAND HALL USAGE BY NON-MEMBERS
A $100.00 fee will be required for the use of Land Hall (i.e., birthday party, wedding anniversary, recital, organizational meeting or any other functions.) Other events will be at the discretion of the Pastor and Consistory.
If using the kitchen, the fee will be $150.00.
Alcoholic beverages in the church building or on the premises are not permitted. In addition, the church is a smoke free building for all occasions.
Any fees will need to paid prior to the event.
AUDITORIUM USAGE BY MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS
If the event necessitates the use of the Auditorium, all language above applies plus a $50 fee for members and $150 fee for non-members.
How to make a room reservation
Reservations and arrangements must be made through the Church Secretary. In order to place a room reservation, you must complete the Room Reservation Form and submit it to the Church Secretary either via email (office@hamburgfirstucc.org) or in person. No reservation is confirmed until the form is completed, with applicable fees paid, and Consistory gives approval. Any questions should be directed to the Church Secretary.
