Just Peace Sunday
The United Church of Christ encourages congregations to mark the Sunday preceding September 21 (which the United Nation recognizes as the “International Day of Prayer for Peace”) as Just Peace Sunday.
This year the national UCC is uplifting the 2025 theme as, “The Earth Shall Mourn”, based on the lectionary passage in the book of Jeremiah, chapter 4 verses 23-28. “Jeremiah warns of a world in chaos not unlike what we are seeing today resulting from climate-induced natural disasters, environmental degradation, and corporate exploitation.” We pray for peace of God’s creation and the people and nations entrusted with care and stewardship of creation and one another.

Our average Sunday morning worship service includes: scripture, sermon, children’s sermon, choir and/or special music, nursery available (children of all ages are welcome throughout worship), children activity sheets, singing, readings, and prayers.
Holy Communion is usually served on the first Sunday of each month plus on special holy days.
