Beth Ann (Bailey) Heckart
January 21, 1957 – August 21, 2025
Our sister in faith, Beth A. Heckart, 68, of Tilden Township, a member of First United Church of Christ in Hamburg, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice Unit, Allentown.
She was the wife of Paul R. Heckart. They were married March 28, 1982 and celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Stanley M. and Elizabeth J. (Schreffler) Bailey.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Shawn E. Heckart, husband of Sonya, and Dylan J. Heckart, husband of Laura; a daughter in law: Melissa R. (Wood) Heckart; and four grandchildren: Michael and Noah Clancey, and Declan Heckart and Ashtyn Heckart. She is also survived by two brothers: Donald Bailey, husband of Karen, and Larry Risser, husband of Anne. Beth was predeceased by a son: Jarred P. Heckart, died July 14, 2025; and a sister: Jeanne (Bailey) Slichter.
Beth was a life-long member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, Hamburg, PA. She worked as a Branch Manager for Tompkins Bank, Hamburg for approximately 20 years retiring in June 2022. Prior to that, she had worked for First Union in Hamburg. She was a longtime member of the Hamburg Rotary Club; and was past president. She enjoyed casinos, knitting, crocheting, and playing games. She also enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:30am from Leibensperger
Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (off-street parking in rear), with the Rev. Dr. Benjamin D. Motz officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 am in the funeral home.
