Season of Pentecost
Fifty days after the Easter Resurrection (ten days after the Ascension), the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples of Jesus Christ, giving birth to the Christian Church. Pentecost is the season of the church living out the mission of Jesus Christ; the season continues until Christ the King Sunday, which is celebrated the Sunday before Advent.
