Calling the First Disciples

On the 3rd Sunday after the Epiphany we hear about Jesus calling the first disciples, leading them from fishers of fish to become fishers of people.

Season of Epiphany

Epiphany is the season of the manifestation of God incarnate to the world.
In Greek “phan” is “shine” or “manifest,” and “epi” is “upon.” The season of Epiphany continues from January 6 until Ash Wednesday; Epiphany is the season between Christmas and Lent.
