Season of Easter

Easter is the 49 days (including 7 Sundays) from Easter Sunday to the Sunday before Pentecost Sunday. During this season many of the scripture passages we read are about Jesus’ appearances to the disciples and to others from the time of his Resurrection (Easter Sunday) to the day of his Ascension (on Thursday 40 days later).
