For those who were not able to participate in January’s Session #1, we are offering that session again in April.

Training for Visitation Care Ministry

     “Called-To-Care” (C2C) is our seven session training program for lay persons engaged in the visitation ministry to our hospitalized, ill, grieving, and homebound members.  This program was developed by the United Church of Christ.

How to Participate

This program is open to all the members of our church. We are also welcoming members of the churches within our Covenant Association, Keystone Conference, and Northern Berks Ministerium. The program is free to participants.

In person participation is preferred and encouraged; however, participating by Zoom is also an option.

If participating, please sign up by 10am on Monday, April 6, 2026, in order that we can prepare enough handouts ahead of time. To sign up, please either: (1) contact the church office at Office@HamburgFirstUCC.org or 610-562-2593; (2) use the sign up sheet in the auditorium; or (3) contact Pastor Ben Motz. When signing up, please let us know if you will be participating in person or via Zoom.

Workshop Leadership

This workshop is being led by the Rev. Dr. Benjamin Motz, who is an experienced trainer with C2C. He is an ordained UCC minister with over 25 years of experience and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), who also has received certification in Trauma Therapy, Compassion Fatigue Therapy, and Grief Counseling, and two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
